Originally from Petersfield, Hampshire UK, Jo started out in operatic training with the Welsh National Youth Opera, during which she played roles as Diana the Goddess, (Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie), Mrs Peachum (John Gay’s The Beggar’s Opera) and Second Witch (Purcell’s Dido and Aeneus). She also sang in the Welsh National Opera performance of Verdi’s Requiem, conducted by Carlo Rizzi. Opera exploits led to work with the Camerata Opera and touring with the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields chorus.
The 2006 Christmas duo with Liol Desta (click) (The Santa Cruise) marked Jo's debut in the world of pop and Caribbean Christmas, something which she has enjoyed immensely and hopes to do more of in the future. Yeh man.

When not meeting colourful rasta characters, Jo still regularly performs solo recitals and oratorio work. In her spare time Jo has Italian lessons, watches movies - she is a fan of Borat (she like) - and enjoys ice skating.
