JoBu is a fusion of rock, reggae, and intrumental jam music. We create an atmosphere that makes people dance and groove, and just when they think that were rockin right in the pocket we take them on a ride to the ultimate climax. It has been said that our vocals resemble Sublime and Incubus. As a whole we try to keep everything as original and unique as possible.
JoBu was born in October of 2005,and since has gathered a diverse following. With only four musicians JoBu creates musical synergy by blending genres such as Rock, Reggae and Funk. They use their musical knowledge and talent to write, complex guitar harmonies, and rythmic grooves, which makes them stand out from other local artists. Jobu has taken the stage with many local and national artists and was included in the 2007 Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, IL. JoBu is on a mission to create positive music for positive people.
Hey you guys are great! Aaron I had a few music classes with you a few years ago, dont know if you remember me, but I'm so excited for you guys! Great music!
Someone recently defied me to define the music played on my show. here's what i came up with:
Eargasm: [eer-gaz-uhm] the overly delightfulissness brought about by foot tappin', head noddin', bootie shakin' jams contained in the audio form. - see also: sock-rocking
Your music, my good friends, is the epitome of such a definition. So I rocked a track across Kalamazoo to prove it.
