Jocelyn Scofield is a dynamic and multi-talented singer/songwriter working hard to carve her own path in the music business. Music Connection Magazine recently called her a "natural storyteller" and the Lansing State Journal said she "redefines the term road warrior." Indie-Music Magazine called Jocelyn a "true composer with a voice like a gutsier Fiona Apple." However, you won't find any knock offs in her sound. It unmistakably her own with a style that combines her greatest influences-pop, jazz, folk, and classical.
Jocelyn has performed in venues ranging from tiny coffeehouses to the 61,000-seat Soldier Field Stadium in Chicago. In 2004, she moved to Los Angeles from Chicago where she had been the voice of choice for emerging songwriters at Summer Song Records, Inc. Never one to wait for life to happen, upon arriving in Los Angeles she immediately began performing. In 2005, Jocelyn toured extensively through southern California, performing between four to 10 shows a month. She has been seen giving her trademark heart-felt, witty, and spontaneous performances in clubs, music venues, and Borders Books and Music stores throughout the United States.
In November of 2005, Jocelyn released her debut album, This Life. Upon the release of This Life, she embarked on a two-month solo national tour. With just her gear and clothes, Jocelyn traveled over 13,000 miles across country, playing shows in twenty-five states from November through January.
In 2006, Jocelyn released Unplugged and Unorganized, a stripped down acoustic EP that highlights her wide range of songwriting styles and pitch-perfect voice. From August through October of 2006, Jocelyn toured nationally for the second time performing in an eclectic mix of bars, vineyards, festivals, music cafes, and Arts Centers. In 2006, she also was chosen to participate in the Nashville Pop Songwriters workshop with Darrell Brown (Leann Rimes, Keith Urban) and Johnny Mercer "Power of the American Song" workshop with David Zippel (Disney's Mulan & Hercules). She also found another outlet for her songwriting-writing for others. She began co-writing with Grammy Award-winning songwriter/producer, Rick Hahn (Celine Dion, Taylor Dayne, David Foster) and Grammy, CMA, and ACM nominee Bobby Tomberlin (Faith Hill, Kenny Rogers, Diamond Rio).
In 2007 year, Jocelyn spent the summer touring festivals throughout the Midwest including the Columbus Arts Festival, Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts, East Grand Rapids Concert Series, and the Green Rooms Session Concert Series. She also began producing her next album.
Jocelyn is working on her third album to be released in 2009. It is her first self-produced album.

Jocelyn, I love listening to you sing and I really, really, love "Hallelujah". My favorite line is "it goes like this the 4th the 5th the minor fall the major lift". I'm such a fan of 1-2m-3m-4-5-6m that when I hear it talked about in a song I say "Allright!". Keep up the great work Jocelyn :)
