    ANNOUNCEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT "ARBEIT LIMITED EDITION" While continuing my research into Sound and Improvisation i recorded several albums over the last year. The idea of this series is to present a limited edition of these recordings - availible only per mailorder - each copy has been numbered, stamped and autographed by me personally and will be released over the year. These are Live-and Studiorecordings that capture the moment, no overdubs made. The Series: 1&2 - Recorded in Murcia (Spain) with Alfonso Alfonso from the Band "Schwarz" (www.myspace.com/schwrz) whom i met while working on a dance performance. After our first session i went back again later to continue recording because we had a shared understanding of Sound and Life in general. 3 - Live-Film-Music created with Paul Lemp. Presented first in Belgrade (Serbia) to mark the 20.anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The Film consists of images of hence unknown Stasi surveillance material, presented in split screen, juxtaposed with GDR Dissident private film footage. DVD of the performance. 4 - Collaboration with Martin Eder (a.k.a.Richard Ruin) for an exibition of his paintings in Dresden. Installation in 4.1 Surroundsound. Cd of Stereo Mix. 5 - Compilaton of my Soundscapes Concert Series 1-10. Excerpts from each show. More details to follow. 6 - Arbeit Solo Live. Recordings from my Solo Concerts. To order these Cd's go to my new website (www. jochenarbeit.com) or go directly to www.einstuerzende-neubauten.org Greetings Jochen Arbeit ARBEIT BIOGRAPHIE BIOGRAPHIE BIOGRAPHIE Jochen Arbeit (Germany) moved 1980 to Berlin and became part of the loose artist and music movement “Geniale Dilettanen”. Which had its roots in Punk Rock and Dada. In 1983 he became a member of the influential Instrumental-Band “Die Haut”, with whom he started touring in Europe and overseas. The band produced records in the USA with fellow like minded Artists as Singers. The band always wore suits on stage. In 1997 he became an official member of the Avant-garde Noise Band “Einstürzende Neubauten”, which he met in the early eighties and is working on all albums and tours since then. Other projects were a Berlin country style band “The Jever Mountain Boys”, the soul crooner of the band “Martin Dean”, the band of painter Martin Eder “Richard Ruin et les Demoniaques”. In 2006 began working with dancer/performance artist Vania Rovisco, which led to the art project “Stupid Green” Created music for Abraham Hurtado’s dance piece “I was there”. With Julian Rosefeldt he performed and created music for “Milk” presented in Düsseldorf. The installation/performance of space “No Title but Layers”, collaboration between artists Hans Demeulenare and Vania Rovisco, he created a surround sound on 4.1. Collaborates regularly with Bridge on a Wall, a platform for Live Installation. In 2008 he toured in Europe with Einstürzende Neubauten to promote their new Album"Alles wieder offen"and released his album “Arbeit Solo” ,presented the sound installation “Schubkarré + Vibratoren” in Galerie Tristesse Deluxe. Regularly collaborates with Bridge on a Wall, a platform for Live Installation interventions.In 2009 he composed with painter Martin Eder a Soundinstallation for an Exhibition of his paintings in Dresden,worked with Stupid Green on a Performance for the 90th anniversary of the Bauhaus at the Theaterhaus Jena and presented and composed the music for Abraham Hurtados Performance/Installation "Die Körper ohne Uns" in Murcia (Spain) and Mexico City. He is also inviting like- minded musicians for his Concert Series "Soundscapes" in Berlin and other Cities.In October he presented his first Solo-Concert on the LEM Festival at the Museum of Modern Art Barcelona and was working as musician and performer for Norton Commander Productions at Festspielhaus Hellerau Dresden in the theaterplay "Das kalte Herz". Recent projects involving Admiral Freebee/Belgium "We are You", Paul Lemp(Composing and performing music as Soundtrack for unseen filmmaterial from Stasisources and GDR-Dissidents and with Richard Ruin as an electronic duo.
