About me:
I got my layout at Cleanupmyspace.com
I am a homebirth Mum, magazine publisher and designer, sometimes writer and political activist for birth reform. I believe that the personal is actually the political; that the way we live our every day lives is the most important vehicle for change.
At present I am making overtures to rediscover the Muse in my life. My goal is to dedicate some time to developing and improving my writing, rather than editing and correcting other's work.
Who I'd like to meet: Adam Hills, Naomi Wolf, the boys from The Chasers War on Everything, Jens Albinus, Sheila Kitzinger, Mystic Medusa, my Great Grandmother Jemima Turnball
Thanks so much for your comment, Jodi! ;) Awesome to hear from you. :) Realy glad you are doing well, and congrats on the magazine and to getting some more time soon to write. :) It's been crazy busy here but I'm working and also working on three writing projects, so no wonder. ;-) But I can't complain. Lovely to hear from you again-- let's chat writing again sometime, my friend.
Hello, Jodi. Hope you had a marvelous New Year and that your writing is going superbly. Miss you, friend. :) Let's chat about writing sometime soon. :)
I've been working on my NaNo novel like a wild woman-- two more chapters this week. Whewww!
Thanks so much for your kind comment about my poem. :) You rock! :) I wish you a creative and fulfilling New Year '08! :) How's the NaNo book coming? I'm on ch. 18 of mine, just getting back into the swing again after the holiday break! :)
Hi Jodi! Thanks for the message. :) Yes, I was just marveling at the last message I left on your comment section from Oct. 31-- where I said we were starting NaNoWriMo in the morning and now look at us! :) Well on our way to noveling success. :) Go us!!
Did you get the pep talk in your in-box this morning from the NaNo people? I really liked it.
Today is Thanksgiving Day here in the States. We Americans do love this delicious holiday! :)
Here's to celebrating friendship and words and daily blessings and joy! Can't wait to hear more about your novel, friend!
Hey there Jodi. Just wanted to say Happy Halloween:) May it bring you creepy ghouls that chill your spine and make you glance over your shoulder if even for the spirit of the atmospheric night. May you laugh, and be showered with dentist-visit-worthy candy, friends, laughs, great memories, cool costumes and at least one thing to take to the proverbial water cooler tomorrow morning:)
Take care and have a great one, my friend. And a Happy Bruhaha Halloween to you:)
No problem Jodi! I couldn't take part in last Friday's prompt, and I haven't read any of them yet either! I flew out to the US on Thursday and was on the road most of Friday. I might be good for tomorrow though, as at least I'm in the same city for a few days running now!
Jodi! So pleased to hear that you're going to be a NaNoWriMo-er, too! Woohoo! :) We can cheer each other on, as first timers! :) This is gonna be a fantastic and frighteningly amazing adventure! I'm going by Writergal76 at the NaNo site, btw. Here's to us-- let's raise a toast in a cheer for all the literary ladies in the house! :)
Welcome back! I'm so happy to see you here again. :) Thanks for your kind comments on my poem. Much appreciated!
Yes, those darn ex's tumbling down from the shelves (both physical and metaphorical). At least we are artists and can make something of beauty out of the confusion, right?! ;-)
