Circus, Harsh’s Friday club night, has become legendary, with former guest DJ’s including Ladyhawke, Kissy Sellout, Amy Winehouse and Mowgli. Jodie currated the aftershow party for the Peaches concert at the Royal Festival Hall as part of the Ether Festival and throws sporadic pool parties on the roof of Shoreditch House with her performance artist friend Jonny Woo.
Over the past few years Harsh has become established as a prominent guest DJ who has been found spinning records at Fashion Week parties, Glastonbury Festival, showbiz bashes and clubs around the UK, America and Europe. Recent DJ appearances include events for Swarovski Fashion Rocks, the Q awards, MTV, Diesel, Oliver People, Urban Junkies, Absolute, Sony, Roxy, Julian Macdonald, Basso and Brooke, Converse as well as supporting Robyn on the London leg of her world tour. Jodie’s dance sets have taken the DJ to New York, Milan, Russia and Ibiza, working with club brands such as Manumission and Jezebel, and the Swedish House Mafia night at Pacha, Ibiza. Even Pete Tong has championed Harsh and commissioned a mini-mix for his In New Music We Trust show on Radio 1. Jodie is now resident DJ for Manumission and they are embarking on a world tour called MiniMission.
Harsh's unique look is a culmination of the world's hottest designers, and London's freshest new talent. Adorned with garments from Pugh to Prada, she is at fashion’s frontline and spotted at Fashion’s front rows across town. Jodie advocates emerging designers and was crowned the ultimate queen of style when she walked the runway in the Emma Bell show during London Fashion Week and Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief event, alongside Cilla Black and Cheryl Cole. She has also strutted down the catwalk for Agent Provocateur while her party partner Kate Moss cheered from the front row.
A close ally of celebrities in music, television, fashion and society, Jodie has become a celebrity and icon in her own right, with artists such as Mark Ronson, Mika, Lily Allen, Agyness Deyn, Pixie Geldoff, Jaime Winston, Kimberly Stewart, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Roisin Murphy and Will Young all attending her glitzy birthday party at Movida.
Photographed for fashion bibles Pop magazine by Mert and Marcus, French Playboy by Rankin and Sunday Times Style by Perou, she has become a regular commentator on primetime TV and radio. It really is hard to miss her fierce influence as THE daring media darling.
Recent television appearances include HITS TV, Big Brother's Little Brother, MTV News, Cube (weekly segment), Hells Kitchen, the iTunes Festival, presenting a segment for the Brit Awards, as well as numerous radio interviews including Radio 1, NME Radio and Kerrang. Jodie recently made a guest appearance in friend and pop sorceress Roisin Murphy's music video for Movie Star, playing the role of the singer’s mother.
Jodie's formal training took form in a degree in journalism at London College of Fashion, while published work includes an essay in The Hedonist's Guide to Life book, as well as contributing to an array of fashion magazines and a weekly column in the Metro newspaper. Harsh has found herself in the Out Magazine100 list of the world’s most influential gay people as well as the Independent’s Pink List, and has given a speech at the ICA as part of their annual fundraising gala.
