Born as Vanessa Lee in Bedford in 1972 she began Ballet at the tender age of 3yrs old!
She trained in all forms of Dance, winning many awards including The East Midlands Modern Dance Championship in 1987.
This then developed into LAMDA Drama and ESB examinations and she received the Most Promising Actress award at the Northampton Drama and Music Festival for her solo Acting piece as Gisela from "The Tinderbox"
During her childhood she was fortunate enough to spend many years performing at The Royal Theatre in Northampton under the direction of Artistic Director Michael Napier Brown appearing as "Julie Jackson" in Hugh Whitmore's spy thriller A PACK OF LIES and numerous pantomimes.
At 17 yrs She went on to train at the prestigious Arts Educational Schools, Chiswick, London where she was chosen in her second year by Cameron Mackintosh to appear in "Moby Dick- A Whale of a Tale" at the Piccadilly Theatre London. where she appeared as Swarm and understudied and played one of the leads.

"Squeeky Fromme" in ASSASSINS.(Komedia, Brighton), Star to be/Dance Captain in "ANNIE" (N0 1 UK Tour), "Racksha Mother Wolf "in JUNGLE BOOK(Cheltenham Everyman), "Dina Calamari" THE WEDDING (Cafe Royal London)
"Mary Jeffers" in FROM HELL SHE CAME (Pleasance, Edinburgh Festival and The Gate, London).
Jodie is also one of the UK's finest Principal Boys in Pantomime appearing as Aladdin and Prince Charming in numerous productions for E&B and Qdos Entertainments.
Jodie was also chosen for Paul Elliot and Chris Moreno's Inaugral season aboard P&O's Oriana as a member of the Rep company. Roles included: "Rizzo" in GREASE, "Helen Walsingham" in HALF A SIXPENCE, "Tracy Lord" in HIGH SOCIETY and "Miss Blacklock" in A MURDER IS ANNOUNCED.
Jodie recently understudied "Rose Stopnick Gellman" in the British Premiere of "CAROLINE OR CHANGE" at the Lytteleton Theatre at The National Theatre which has just received the Evening Standard Award for Best Musical 2006 and also was awarded the Olivier for Best Musical 2007

Happy New Year!!! I hope Santa was nice to you this year, and that 2007 is a great year.
We play Nottingham tonight, then Bristol, and Newcastle on Sunday......and then we have a couple of well needed days off. Al Perkins is playing his butt off on the tour....
