About me: "The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him, he is always doing both." -- Zen Buddhist Text
i love taking pictures.
i am a self-taught photographer.
i bought an inexpensive camera and started shooting "life" on black and white film.... and fell in love with high contrast images, unusual angles and textures. being a former actor, i started to photograph people and directing them to be comfortable and natural in front of the camera... now people are my favorite subjects.
after shooting the new york runway shows i fell in love with fashion photography
(check out my blog on being a photographer in the pit at fashion week)
lately i have been traveling to new places on different photography assignments.
i have shot most all of the major runway shows for the past 18 seasons and just recently wrapped a documentary about my life as a photographer which aired last month on a Canadian TV show called "Women on Top".
some of my thoughts on the fashion biz...
i would like to see a change in the fashion industry and i am working on projects now that show "another side" on what the industry considers to be beauty.
i like photographing "non-typical" models and people who's beauty is more than skin deep. i will be posting more my new work on this subject in the coming months.
some new photography work here....
thoughts on life in general...
i love living in nyc... the diversity of race, religion, sexual orientation, traditions.... why does anyone want people to all be the same? how boring would that be?
i am hoping to begin pre-production on a film that i wrote about an innocent man living on death row... more on that soon.
my favorite past-times are watching obscure indie films and documentaries at the local
art house theatres, alone time with a good book, working on my mac, good food and wine with friends where we talk about art, movies, life....
...but most importantly, i have a deep desire to find ways to:
1) work with people i like and respect.
2) create a community of artists that do their ART for more than just $...
...those who are searching for ways to use their talents to make the world
a better place for the less fortunate.
3) surround myself with those who care about what is happening on this planet...
...from the animals and environment, to people in other parts of the world who need our help.

some of my fashion photography...
CAKE - Images in a fine art series captured by photographer Jodi Jones about the roll of women in the future, ironically referencing Marie Antoinette's quote 'Let them eat cake!'
WHITE STORY - Images in a fine art series captured by photographer Jodi Jones about the juxtaposition between the gender roles between male and female as they appear in gesture and posture. Referencing the Phantom of the Opera with a feminine twist and using universal symbols subtly, like the yin-yang.
TOP HAT - Images in a fine art fashion series captured by photographer Jodi Jones. Playing with the idea of 'handsome,' 'beautiful' and 'strength' as they apply to visual metaphors of gender.

A new day is brought our way again....... How will we handle this day? I wish for you a wonderful day and week ahead my friend! You are very special!
Accelerating your spiritual growth comes from accepting and loving yourself as you are right now. Some of you think that you will love yourself better when you have become evolved and perfect. Many of you are too critical and hard on yourselves. Spiritual growth comes from loving yourself as you are now, not from making yourself wrong because you haven't reached some imaginary ideal of perfection. You are perfect as you are now.
Ask your soul to show you more about the higher purpose of your relationship with someone special. Your soul has many ways to talk to you. You may receive a feeling, symbol, or new idea. You may receive messages through your dreams, or through books you read. Or, you may simply act in ways at certain moments that reflect your higher purpose in being together without even knowing what it is.
It's a pleasure to have You among our group of friends ! Please support the Love Agents by downloading our music on ITUNES and check our other art projects on www.m-mission.com.
Just dropping to say hello and wish you an excellent day! I'm so thankful and blessed to have a friend in you.......
Sometimes the hardest thing of all is saying "no" to someone in need. If you constantly pay attention to people in crisis, you affirm that the way for them to get your attention is by creating crisis. If you want people in your life to respect and honor your time, teach them by rewarding them when they do so.
Let go of any preconceived ideas you have about spiritual growth and your current level of evolution. You may think if you are spiritually evolved you would have memories of your past lives, meditate for hours, live in states of continual bliss, and acquire superhuman abilities. This is not so. You will find evolved souls working in every possible area to lift the condition of humanity, doing many practical things with their lives and creating many positive results. Their work acts as their meditation and provides their opportunities for spiritual growth.
Hi! It's going to be a great week! I so appreciate you as my friend! Thank you!
If you are spending time and energy "saving" people, it is time to stop. If you are not certain if you are rescuing people or empowering them with your aid, ask yourself if your assistance is giving them tools to change their lives or simply bailing them out of a reoccurring problem. Are they working to change themselves and the beliefs that created their current condition, or are they playing the victim, hoping that you will fix the problems they have created? When people play the victim, helping them is usually saving them. When people are striving to lift themselves out of their current condition and taking responsibility for having created their challenges, your aid is usually empowering. (Orin and DaBen)
You can create your personal reality any way you want. Right before you fall asleep is a powerful time to create a new reality. Think of the day ahead. Visualize your ideal day, and imagine yourself waking up full of energy. These thoughts will go out to the future and meet up with you the next day. (Orin and DaBen)
Hello, I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Happy Easter!
It is important to learn forgiveness, because every time you replay a negative memory, making yourself wrong, you are creating it again in the future. In moments of crisis a new self is often born, a baby self, one that has just come into being with the crisis. Like a small child it may not have the skills to handle things perfectly or beautifully, and yet that self is growing more skilled every moment. It is not a gift to this new being if you go back and send it images of its wrongness. Instead forgive your past self, knowing you were doing the best you knew how at the time. (Orin and DaBen)
You are always directed to your higher good, even in the smallest ways. Have you ever had an urge to clean your house and then had a special, unexpected caller? Your Higher Self looks out over the universe, sees what is coming, and constantly broadcasts messages to you to assist you in being in the higher flow. Although the messages may be faint at first, the more you listen to and follow the messages you hear, the more messages you will receive and the clearer they will become. (Orin and DaBen)
