Growing up in Opelika, Alabama, Jody Fuller had to overcome two things: poverty and stuttering. "If I had a nickel for every time I was made fun of, I would have retired at 12."
His first quarter in college resulted in two withdrawals and one failure. Although a huge fan of pro wrestling, making a WWF that first semester just didn’t cut it, and he knew it was time for a change. That’s when Jody first enlisted in the United States Army.
Jody loves the military and loves everything about the military, with the exception of three things: waking up early, shaving, and running. Unfortunately, those are the first three things a soldier does every single day. So, after 8 years of active duty, Jody decided to join the National Guard and chase the dream of being a professional stand-up comic. So far, so good!
Jody overcame the poverty, but the stuttering still gets the best of him.
Whether he’s talking about stuttering, serving in the army, 2 years in Iraq, growing up poor, going to college, or working at a grocery store, his unique perspective will keep you entertained from the moment he hits the stage.
My grandmother always said that if you can’t laugh at yourself, you can’t laugh at anyone. Well, I laugh at myself, so everyone else had better watch out.
He has performed for the troops in the United States, as well as Iraq. He performed at the 2007 DC Comedy Fest. Jody was also selected as one of the five finalists in the 2005 Wendy’s Stand Up For Good Taste Comedy Challenge at The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.

I really am fascinated with Mt. St. Helens. It blew its top on May 18, 1980. I was 10 days shy of my 8th birthday and remember it just like it was yesterday.
Cool under pressure! It's only experiencing a semi eruption....
My best friend Bobo and I on a beautiful Pacific Northwest day at the base of Mt. St. Helens.
My best friends Yo, Doc, and Tre on a lovely summer day at Mt. St. Helens.

Heroes
One of my soldiers, Tyanna Felder of Bridgeport, CT, who died from injuries sustained from a roadside bomb. She passed away on April 7, 2004.
One of my soldiers, Phillip Rogers of Gresham, OR, who died from injuries sustained from a roadside bomb. He passed away on April 4, 2004. This young hero was in a non-deployable unit and volunteered for Iraq, so he could serve his country in time of need.
SGT Isela Rubalcava was in my battalion. She was killed May 8, 2004 during a mortar attack. She was a great non-commissioned officer in the United States Army and everyone loved and respected SGT "Ruby."
Pat Tillman gave up millions of dollars to serve this great nation and paid the ultimate sacrifice! That is a hero!
About me:
"When I was younger, I got laughed at for free. Now, people pay to laugh at me. Only in America BABY!"
When I'm not on stage doing my best to make people laugh, I'm either asleep or serving as a captain in the Alabama National Guard. I just got back from my 2nd deployment to Iraq.

Now a little about me....any questions, just ask.....
Hail from the OPL baby! Opelika, Alabama....graduate of Opelika High School and Auburn Univeristy..Commissioned Officer in the US Army (now in the guard) by way of OCS at Ft Benning, GA...Ft. Eustis, VA...Ft. Lewis, WA....a year in Iraq...then back to Ft. Lewis, which is just south of Seattle. I absolutley love the Pac-NW and will one day, once again, call it home. But first, back to Iraq! Oh joy!
In the 90's, I spent 2 years stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany (K-Town baby!) and developed a taste for really good beer and then I was stationed in the Pac-NW for 3 years and it's the microbrewery capitol of the US, although one can still find a PBR if one looks hard enough. Personally, I don't look very hard. I'm partial to Moose Drool, Bridgeport, Widmer Bros, and Fat Tire.
I love to cook...and eat! I also have an 11 year old black lab named Chyna, who is absolutley the greatest dog in the world.
(Chyna and some guy with a meth-labby looking beard)
I enjoy traveling all over this great country of ours making folks laugh....I talk about the military, Iraq, growing up poor in the south, college, working at a drug store for 8 years; however, what makes me very unique and original, is that I stutter and tend to have a lot of fun with it! I want to focus on military installations, corporate gigs, and colleges. So hope to see you out on the road real soon!
Most folks that sutter, don't have the confidence that I do. Most are very insecure. I mean, imagine every time you open your mouth, you're being judged..every time you speak, you're being ridiculed...every time you talk, you're being mocked....in other words, imagine being President Bush! I hope to give others the confidence to follow their dreams. We do tend to judge a little too much so I definitley understand the insecurity. I just encourage everyone, regardless of flaw, because we all have them, to grab the bull by the horns and live life to the fullest.
I always get asked whether or not I stutter when I sing. Well, watch this video to find out. I must warn you though: I do suck when I sing!
