Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty won a Top Choice Award!
I'm a novelist looking to connect with other writers and readers. I have three books out now: TART, SUMMER IN THE LAND OF SKIN and NOTES FROM THE BACKSEAT. In April 2008 my first YA book hits the stands: CONFESSIONS OF A TRIPLE SHOT BETTY. I love writing YA! It's so great being 16 again without having to deal with the stuff I hated the first time around--zits, high school, terror and ennui. Well, okay, I still get hit with the occasional zit, as well as spontaneous waves of panic and/or ennui, but I'm definitely out of high school! Hoorah!
Who I'd like to meet: Young Adult writers, Young Adult readers, fiction lovers in general, novelists in general, aspiring writers, playwrights, filmmakers (my brand new passion), cool people.
sigh. i guess we'll have to split a cookie in 2010.
sadly, i've yet to finish even one book this summer! i went to ecuador for three weeks with susan and was forced to leave all of my imaginary friends at home. it was torture...sort of. i mean, i had a blast, but it would have been better if i had my laptop with me, ya know?
and yes, i really should take your playwriting class. i loved your creative writing class. and what would my semester be without jody gehrman!? lame, that's what...except now my summer/fall classes catalog is MIA...and i just cleaned my room! how do things like this happen jody!?

I totally get what you mean by missing the girls. I love the Triple Betty Shot girls. Those books were honestly genius! Babe in Boyland sounds amazing! i cant wait to read it! As for now though i have writers block and im trying to come up with a better begining of my book. I have the sequence that I want it in, but i just don't know how to put it. Has that ever happened to you? Good luck with your book and I cant wait to read it!
