    I'm finishing a PhD in history at Georgia State University and teaching world and American history at the moment, but playing music is still a big part of my life. I still play acoustic and with the Joe Bagley Band in Alabama quite a lot, especially in Auburn. I also have been playing with Atlanta's Blue Denim, doing a lot of private parties and some club shows all over the South. Writing has been in the back seat for so long I've nearly forgotten it was there, but I think it still is. Said goodbye to any dream of 'making it' without making the kind of committment one must make to even roll the dice, but if nothing else I still make money doing something I love. Sometimes I play what I want, including my own stuff; other times I play what I have to. No matter what, I get paid to entertain people and to play with some bad ass musicians. Not too bad. ..

    My favorite guitar players are Derek Trucks, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Monte Montgomery, and Mark Knopfler. I grew up on the Allman Brothers Band, et al. Since then I've dabbled in a lot of what the Brothers dabbled in, early jazz, blues, eg. I also like, depending on the circumstance, anything from Steve Earle to Disturbed.

Bio:

I'm currently teaching American history at Georgia State University in Atlanta, while pursuing my PhD in the same. Thursday though Saturday, I'm fortunate enough to be able to continue playing music. I still do solo gigs in Auburn, Montgomery, and Birmingham. I also play guitar for the rock band Fallback. Based out of Auburn, Fallback recently joined the Crescent Moon Talent roster; we're excited about playing more across the Southeast this year.
