About me:

Send me an IM!

Who am I? What do I do? I often sit and ponder these important questions. First of all, I am me. I am an individual and tend to go to the beat of my own drum. I don't follow the crowds and don't plan on it. In most social situations, I tend to keep to myself. Once introduced to people a few times I then break out of my shell.

I graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in education because I was taught education was one of the most important things that I could have. It's no irony that I am now a high school teacher. I teach Health and Culinary Arts. :-) I love my job and working with the students at my school. I advise the GSA and FCCLA groups at my school.

I am also an activist. I don't think you can live in the Seattle area and not be. :-) Besides advising the GSA, I work with a group on Capitol Hill. GLSEN is an important organization. I work with GSA groups all over the state of Washington. This too is rewarding. It takes a lot of my time, but I hope that all of my work will pay off in the future with a more educated, less bigoted society. Well... I can hope.

The glass can be half full.

Those who dream by night, in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that all was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, and make it possible.

Who I'd like to meet:
