lately i've been recording & performing my songs, solo and w/ talented musician pals.
about the recordings: they have taken place in several different locations - among them, thomm jutz's studio, where i had the pleasure of working w/ thomm, & also pat mcinerney. visit www.thommjutz.com, click on 'songs,' look for my name and listen to 'a feeling.' the 3 of us also recorded 'dream hotel,' which plays on this myspace page.
i'm working as often as i can w/ nathan yarborough (blackbird studios) editing and finishing up some tracks i began a while back w/ adam engelhardt @ the sony music bldg studio w/ dan eubanks (bass) and rick lonow (drums.) i've added sergio webb (guitar) on a few of the tunes, as well as andy willhite (guitar) on some others.
i want to finish all these different songs before posting. there will be a good many when i'm done.
speaking of recordings, the joiners have a nice new one. i play bass w/ the joiners - taylor (songwriting/guitar/vocals) & his wife rachel (drums/vocals.) they're myspace friends - hear taylor's great songs by clicking on their myspace page, or by going to www.joinerhouse.com for a free download of the new album, 'olives and oil.' taylor is active on the joinerhouse site. it's always changing, w/ new videos, blogs, etc.
Influences
the sad apartment is a collection of like-minded musician-friends, playing the music of derek wolfe, who continues to bring more of his uniquely beautiful songs to rehearsals. i'm playing keyboards, along w/ musicians casey & mason (ole mossy face) andy (carter administration) troy (duraluxe) and sometimes others - matt (hands down eugene) on occasion. you can hear this music by navigating to myspace friend 'sad apartment.'
