Joe was a founding member of Blue Öyster Cult. In September of 1970 after graduating from Ithaca College, he joined the band when they were called The Stalk-Forrest Group. By fall of 1971 they passed an audition for Clive Davis were signed to Columbia Records and shortly thereafter changed their name to Blue Oyster Cult.
During his time with Blue Öyster Cult he recorded 14 albums playing the bass parts, singing lead and harmony and playing several other instruments. Several albums were big hit sellers and BOC developed a fanatic live following. In 1976 (Don't Fear) The Reaper broke through on radio across the country and touring and record sales escalated. In his years with BOC, Joe was awarded nine Gold and two Platinum discs.
By 1986 Joe decided that he would retire from BOC and move on to other interests. This myspace site will highlight what he has done in the last two decades, and projects he is working on for the future. Thanks for stopping by.
