I've written books, songs and musicals. I've performed as a jazz musician and singer/songwriter. I've also performed as a stand-up comedian (but that didn't last long).
I watch too many movies and eat too much sushi, play not enough five-a-side football and coach cricket.
I'm fascinated by Mentos and Haribo sweets. I'm working on my own brand of chili sauce and redesigning the razor.

About me: I write the Jimmy Coates series - action thrillers published by HarperCollins in the UK and the USA, in the same genre as the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz, Cherub by Robert Muchamore, Young Bond etc.
Except that Jimmy Coates is a little different to the standard spy characters in those other books. It's a bit more like The Bourne Identity, but for 8 to 13 year olds.
In the UK: Jimmy Coates: Killer, Jimmy Coates: Target, Jimmy Coates: Revenge and Jimmy Coates: Sabotage are out now. That's the order they go in, but you can read them in any order.
In the US: 'Jimmy Coates: Assassin?' is available now in paperback. 'Jimmy Coates: Target' is out in hardback.
