Joe DAmico is a creator. Not simply of songs, but of universal characters and concepts that resonate with his audience. Joe brings to the stage an easygoing blend of folk, rock and country elements coupled with a unique vocal delivery. His versatile set list and laid-back conversational style connect with his audiences whether he's playing solo or with his band.
Joe’s second and most recent independent release Something In The Silence (2009) is comprised of ten songs with an Old Timey, Folk-Rock vibe. Built mostly around fiddle, dobro and upright bass.
In addition to his solo work, Joe also plays mandolin and sings with Mason Porter. This West Chester, Pa. based band is a fast and fun combination of bluegrass, traditional folk and original songwriting. With an EP released in 2008, Mason Porter is currently working on a full length due out later in 2009.
Born in Philadelphia into a musical family (his father is an accomplished jazz pianist and classical composer), Joe draws upon the education of his upbringing and the hands-on experience he gained while a member of nationally recognized act Brothers Past. As bass player for this inventive band, Joe spent several years recording and touring sharing the stage with acts like Derek Trucks, Steve Kimock and the Disco Biscuits.
Hey Joe, Danny Bower gave out Christmas mix CD with Asleep in My Shoes on it. Great song, love the multi-chord bridge in the middle with the sweet melodic harmonies that end it. Johnny

You guys did great on The Gene Shay Show last night! I especially liked the slow song you played! I'm glad that Paul and Jesse got a chance to sing lead vocals, too! Keep up the great work guys!
Things are going very well in Chicago! I made a house ensemble team at the Improv Olympic! It's such a great feeling knowing that I'm actually accomplishing what I came here to do. In addition to having a blast out here! It looks (and sounds) like everything is going great. I'll be in Philly in a couple weeks. Expect a call!
