Joe Davoli is a graduate of DePaul University and attended the Berklee School Of Music.He has studied with improvisational greats Matt Glaser, Darol Anger and John Blake. Joe is a consummate performer of several styles of music including Celtic, bluegrass, jazz, rock, classical and blues. In 2001, Joe composed and recorded music for the off -Broadway revival of Israel Horovitz' "The Indian Wants The Bronx". He has won two Syracuse Area Music Awards; one for "Best Bluegrass Instrumentalist/Vocalist" in 2001 and the other in 2003 for his CD release with guitarist Harvey Nusbaum in the "Best Folk/Bluegrass Recording" category. In 2004 he served as musical supervisor for the short film "Brando From The Neck Down" in which its soundtrack features Joe playing both fiddle and mandolin. Joe has published a successful methods book for fiddle and mandolin that is currently in its second edition. His 2006 solo CD "GamePlan" has received international acclaim. Joe performed with the Syracuse Pops Orchestra for over a decade. He is currently a full time member of Ceili Rain. In demand as a studio musician and teacher, Joe lives in Syracuse, NY with his wife Darbie and three children Nicholas, Olivia and Joseph III.

yo joe, your mad cool, this week was/is insanity, i am recording twice for college audition cd things, have pit orchestra, all county, and jazz band, and am setting up a regular job-type gig where i go play in a couple's home once a weeek. yikes. and im always reminded that the reason i have any ear at all and can do this stuff is because of you, SWEET, lesson times, preferably for next tuesday??
next week the robobuddies are playing some gigs in PA!! and did i tell you we recorded a demo at subcat and the guy was like, yeah, joe's a good buddy of mine
