Born in central New York, Joe Dorn had the benefit of long, cold winters to hone his artistic crafts and develop the dogged determination that has become synonymous with Joe to anyone that knows him.
After several years of engineering and drumming in Charlotte, NC, Joe embarked on his life-long dream of moving to Nashville, TN to pursue a career in the music industry. Paying the rent by working as a sound engineer for artists such as Phil Keaggy, Richard Marx, Ashley Cleveland, Gary Chapman, Lionel Cartwright, and Lawrence Juber, Joe managed to find time for drumming with some of the industry's finest. Names like Lionel Cartwright, Jeff Wood, Laurie Hall, and the legendary Charlie McCoy rise to the top of a long list of performers. He even found time to study with drumming great, Chester Thompson.
Doing the occasional church gig and always available for fill-in work, Joe is currently teaching privately and performing with various artists throughout the Southeast.

Dude, my mac and Digital Performer is new and yet acting up. Quitting in the middle of just rough tracks of click, acoustic and scratch vocals. Not cool. No idea what I'm going to do about the CD.
