So I was just sitting here editing some stuff, and this BIO word popped out at me so I had to give it a shot. The only thing is, I have no BIO because i'm not in any band, so this is pretty much my musical storyline. Here goes...
One day back in March of 2004, I was chillin with my mom and she was playing guitar. {Jumping back a little while before that, I had already attempted guitar 3 times and quit every time (couldn't handle it)). I thought i was done with guitar, but after listening to stairway to heaven (timeless classic) I said to myself, "Joeman, you can pull this off", so I gave it another shot. 4 callused fingers and a guitar chord dictionary later, I was on my way to learning to play the guitar.
Shortly after my self-taught guitar lessons started, I purchased a peavey electric guitar. I thought buying an electtric guitar would make me sound like Mick Mars or Slash or Jimi Page, but I couldn't have been more wrong. After coming to a "money well wasted" conclusion that electric guitar wasn't for me, I picked up my moms old acoustic again. I found a sound through experimenting with different styles and artists and basically built off of that.
It's the day of today and I'm still doing what I love; playing guitar and writing songs for my own satisfaction. Sometime's I sit down and throw together a recording just to play around with the editing and mixing, but thats all in good fun. I guess if the opprutunity came along to start up a band, i'd be all over it just for the love of the music. Anyway, that's me. Take care everyone,
Peace, Love, RocknRoll
P.S. I don't think I really thanked the person who influenced me and helped me so much when i was struggling with the guitar and singing. Thanks Mom, you're the best. Love ya
