Few updates lately, because I have no idea if anyone still views my page. I have returned to private life from the public light I was in last summer. I prefer working behind the scenes and being a public figure was a difficult transition even if it was only briefly.
I passed the Patent Bar Exam! It was the hardest test I have ever taken, so I understand why the pass rate is so low in comparison with other tests.
I also have taught myself how to skateboard this year. I had never really been on one, but it was always appealing to me for whatever reason. A young skater motivated me to ride, so I bought my first board -- at 33 years old!
It has been tough and I have the scars to prove it. I have had a bloody Achilles heel, bruised thigh, torn calf muscle and numerous scrapes from falls -- skateboarding has certainly lived up to its reputation as a "extreme" sport.
Despite all that I enjoy skateboarding wholeheartedly these days. I don't fall as much and when I do I have learned how to roll with the fall to minimize injury. I don't know any tricks except cruising and half kick-turns. Maybe one day I'll land an Ollie. For now I'll cruise the streets and hopefully improve everyday.
