I'm a southern boy, born in Louisiana and raised all over the south but I still call Louisiana home. It's a place like no other. I put my music career on hold for a few years after I joined the Army and after returning from Iraq I decided this is what I was born to do. Now after taking some much need time off and completeting my new album Here and Now I will begin touring again very soon. It just took me some time to find the music again. I hope to see you at my shows. My new show dates will be posted soon....
...Joe Gaspard has blurred the line between country and rock music, he has bucked the traditional Nashville formula and has begun a new era of country, playing his own brand of country music. During his first trip to New Orleans at the age of 9, Joe realized his deep love for music after watching the street musicians playing along Bourbon St. and in the French Quarter. The classic sounds of blues, jazz, and even zydeco of his home state of Louisiana have heavily influenced his sound. Joe put his music career on hold for a few years after joining the Army and upon returning from Iraq he decided music is what he was born to do. While in Iraq, almost unknowingly, Joe began writing his debut album Here and Now. As he watched his life changing in front of him in the desert heat he began chronicling in his songs the experiences that had changed his life over the years. Love both lost and found happiness and heartache are all captured in his music. The most life changing moment came while recovering in a field hospital in Baghdad and waiting to shipped out on a medical flight to Germany, Joe realized that so many of his fellow soldiers dream would never be realized and he made the decision right there to live his no matter what it takes. This gave him the idea for the title of his debut album Here and Now. Joe’s songwriting has been influenced not only by country legends such as Johnny Cash and Hank Williams but also rock icons like John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen. Joe’s highly anticipated new release Here and Now displays his soulful, powerful voice and his incredible songwriting ability.

Thanks for supporting our Troops! I appreciate it and I know our Troops appreciate it.
If you would like to help us thank those still serving overseas and help those coming home wounded, please stop by the profile, read the latest blog and do what you can.
I like your sound! Let us know when you do a show in the Atlanta area. If you have time go to georgia-country.com and vote for Thomas Tillman for Georgia's male vocalist of the year. Thanks - Jen
