Good country/soul music featuring some songs you may have heard of.
I've always been a music junkie. I'm way into most roots music, rock, soul, country, blues, gospel, tex mex, world, like that. My favorite musical era is the 60's, because I lived it. I saw Hendrix (unbelievable!), The Doors, Cream, and almost all the San Francisco bands when they were happening. I managed Escape From N.Y. Pizza from 1986-96, and have been a partner at Amoeba Music since then. I play the pedal steel guitar and have been fortunate to play with some great musicians like Jim Campilongo, Redd Volkaert, Peter Rowan, Jim Lauderdale, Bill Kirchen, Dallas Wayne, Buddy Miller, Dave Gleason and Brandi Shearer. I love to play classic honky tonk country music, but when I do my own albums, I like to adapt rock and pop tunes for the steel.
