Joe Hand is an accomplished singer, songwriter, musician, performer and producer based outside of Orlando, FL. He moved to Lady Lake in 2008 after spending the past 10 years in Nashville, TN.
As a recording artist, Joe has produced several original cd projects, most recently the roots rock “Typical Male” CD and the acoustic “Daggers and Darts”. Joe has sold tens of thousands of cds, and performed over 1000 concerts over his career. His “Typical Male” CD recently received airplay on over 60 stations nationwide.
As engineer and producer, Joe has worked with many top artists such as Barry McGuire, Linkin’ Park, John Michael Talbot, Crystal Gayle, Mason Proffit, Ceili Rain, and many others. He has produced over 100 independent projects by gifted songwriters and artists such as Robin English, Tommy Townsend, John Grassadonia, Kitty Cleveland, Christopher Ames, Trish Genco, Joe Hellriegel, and many others..
His productions feature top musicians and audiophile quality sound. Joe knows recording!
Born in 1969 in Astoria, New York, and raised in South Florida, JOE HAND was introduced to music at the young age of 7. A standout high school musician, Joe played piano, electric bass, and woodwinds in many performing situations.
Joe was playing music professionally at age 15. He accompanied choirs, taught lessons, played in the school bands, performed classical concerts, played in community jazz bands, pit orchestras, church praise groups, and of course, his own rock band "Joe's Diner".
Joe graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston with a degree in Music Production. He spent the next few years with the rock group "The Paiges" before starting his solo career, releasing his first solo cd in 1994.
He is still producing cds for other artists, and makes frequent trips to Nashville working on different recording projects and writing songs.
Joe also performs frequently, as a solo artist and with his popular cover groups “Acoustic Men” and “Shepherds Pie”.
Joe is also the Director of Contemporary Worship for North Lake Presbyterian Church. If you’re ever in the area, come on out! You’ll be glad you did.
JOE HAND lives in central FL with his wife, JeanAnn and their funny little dog, Boo.
