Guess I should make this less humourous and more substantial while I am changing things about!
My influences musically are all of my wonderful friends. I am privilaged to know and have known many musically gifted people. These people influence me first and foremost.
I am trying to incorperate a traditional element to my music. I am keen on the idea of the wandering bard, singing his stories, kind of a romantic image, I would like to make it relevant to modern times.
I am partial to the blues, Songs such as coffee house by lightning Hopkins, Caledonia by Muddy waters sum up why I love the blues so much.
I love The Beatles, Bob Dylan, REM, Bjork, Antje Duvekot, The Smashing pumpkins, Oasis (unashamedly and proudly, Noel Gallagher is an excelent songwriter.) I love The fugees, the flaming lips, soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Silverchair, (unashamedly and proudly, Daniel Johns can write beautiful songs.)
Special mention has to go to Radiohead, perhaps one of the most relevant and most amazing bands I have ever heard.
Sounds Like
If I'm being candid, I suppose I sound like a guy who is just learning to write songs, Learning to sing, learning harmonica, and even learning guitar more and more.
I looked it up too, and apparently we missed the part in the end where something drops into the water in the background of the ferris wheel shot. So it seems we were dealing with an alien ...
as far as I know, we're going to the moon saloon for ash's good bye party. I'm babysitting til 10.30 tonight, so I'll come later... thanks for keeping me in the loop!
ehmmm... i was just kidding, my lovely friend. But if we were to discuss your emotional security vs. insecurity, I'd say... I won't. All I'll say is that I feel fortunate to know you that well. love. m
