  • Bio

Former Rounder Records recording artist, Joe Paquin wakes up every morning thanking the Powers That Be for giving him one more day to have the opportunity to share his music with the world. Critically acclaimed while with the band The Sundogs for 17 years, Joe is currently strapped into the pilot's seat for a musical flight to hippiebilly heaven... Joe, has plenty of history and plenty of stories to share regarding that history. But his focus lies directly in the sights of the here and now; a here and now that he holds precious and sacred... With the loving support of a wonderful wife (Nancie) and an extremely talented son (Luke, who plays guitar for Hot Hot Heat) and an extended family of friends and fans, Joe Paquin vows to take it all by the bootstraps, sing 'til he's hoarse, tour 'til he drops, and spread the hippiebilly word with the vigor and passion of God's own preacher... Joe and his mates have either played with, recorded with, or opened for..... Hey Amigo, I am gonna miss you very much. You inspired me so much and I am so glad I got to tell you, and that you knew how loved you were. Thank you for lending your talents and blessing me with a collaboration on Hearts, and for the CD's of your music you sent me after only knowing me for two days. You were always so kind to me, and I truly regret we only ever talked on internet and phone. I am angry and sad, but you aint hurtin no more, and I am simply selfish. I truly truly truly was inspired by your brave fight, and I will miss you. Thank you amigo, you were the most real person I have ever met online and I truly love you friend.

Joe, you were a dear friend in the "bad old days" after Nam. I'm sorry I missed so many years after that. Your music moved everyone here in the boonies of Vermont (and New Hampshire) that I gave your CDs to. Thanks for the good times, the fun, passion, bravery, humor and the music. I'm so sorry I never met Nancie and Luke last spring and my sympathy is with them now. You will be remembered always in your music and hearts everywhere.
