Joe Hockey represents the electorate of North Sydney in the Australian Parliament in Canberra and is also the Shadow Treasurer.
He was first elected in 1996 at the age of 30. Less than three years later Joe was made a minister – one of the youngest in Australia’s history. He’s served in a number of ministries since then: Financial Services, Tourism and Small Business, Human Services and Employment and Workplace Relations.
Joe was born in North Sydney. His father was born in Bethlehem (before later emigrating to Australia) and his Mum in Chatswood. When he was growing up his family was working hard running a small business, first a deli in Chatswood and later a real estate agency in Naremburn.
A student at St Aloysius’ College, Joe then went on to get Arts and Law degrees from Sydney Uni, where he was also elected President of the SRC. He was also President of the NSW Young Liberal Movement.
Before entering Parliament Joe worked as a lawyer for a major Australian law firm and then as the Director of Policy to the Premier of NSW.
He lives in Hunters Hill with his wife Melissa and two children Xavier and Adelaide.

Check it out. You will find that Bob Brown the Leader of The Australian Greens has joined Expose The Greens. Perhaps he wants people to know The Greens are not really an Environmental Party but a Party with "Communistic Values."

March 16, 2007
A FORMER ice addict has hit out at the Greens policy to legalise the drug, saying it would send the wrong message.
The warning came as Greens MP Lee Rhiannon accused Premier Morris Iemma of double standards in attacking her party’s soft stance on ice, saying the Government was already effectively decriminalising the deadly drug.
In a bizarre twist to the methamphetamine debate, Ms Rhiannon urged the Government to openly trumpet its own policies, which the Greens endorse.

Check out the photos if you like. They are in my photo album called The State Of Ruffey Creek.
If you don't like the state of Ruffey Creek in the Manningham Council area you can send them an email to the following adress:
manningham@manningham.vic.gov.au
As you will see from the photos (Ruffey Creek between King Street and Williamsons Road, Templestowe) the state of the creek is an absolute disgrace and needs urgen attention to remove litter and weeds to enable the creek to function normally and sustain native wildlife.
My family walk along this stretch of the creek nearly every day, and even though the council mow the grass it appears they do little to maintain the health of the creek for the natural fauna and flora.
What do you think?
