About me:
The IslandMasta has done it again...I think it's about me...it looks pretty much like my life... accept everyone's a cartoon: Joe is Japanese
The show is based on (mostly) true events from my life. It wasn't easy growing up a half-breed. No one culture will ever be yours to embrace. No matter how hard I tried, I could never really be Japanese, and as I got older I realized that I might have overcompensated and became too Japanese. You'd have to be Japanese to understand what I mean by that one... :-P
Not to bore you ADD kids (myself included) with just text, here's a cut from when my buddy Kenji head butted some dude:
See I guess this won’t be too bad. I get to tell random stories like that. Stories that made up my life... they made me into what I am today, (mostly) Japanese. So why an anime about it?
Well, I have got a friend that runs an animation studio that I've known for 15 some years. I've told him a lot of stories I believed were in strict confidence. Not the case. We've got into a lot of trouble and I kinda thought we'd never share some stories with anyone else. Not the case. In fact, I guess we're telling the world all about me and everyone I've had an interesting experience with.
So that's the deal. You can visit with the other 'characters' in my life:
Koga Sato is the head producer of the show and probably gets the best updates from the animators. He's a good listener too. Call him KogaSpeed or "Mista50%" he likes the nicknames.
The IslandMasta is the bastard that created all of this and his studio of crazy ass animators is working hard to bring it all to life.
MistaMountain is the real bad-ass, he handles the business aspects and keeps everyone safe. Plus he’s the one who’s given all the ‘cool’ nicknames, and can provide you with one too, if you ask nice.
Oh, and then there's Miyuki , she's my EX-girlfriend. She's also Half-Japanese but I think she deals with it a whole lot better than me.
There are other important friends and enemies that are being added to the myspace world all the time so watch out for them. The first episodes of the show are coming soon. The IslandMasta and crew have been real busy, because another film that they made is taking them to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City. I’m proud of him, though he’s worked all his life for it, so it’s no real surprise.

I was the target of bullies until I left high school. Bully’s in Japan are a new level of evil, BTW. I'll tell you about the stove shockers and garlic/basil incident.
Oh, and I don't wear cowboy hats all the time and I'm not that skinny...pha...animators...what are you gonna do?

Ladies of all nationalities. I'm a lover not a fighter, albeit...not a great lover...as I'm sure you'll all find out. Been around too many fighters in my life time, but I guess you have to fight if you wanna survive.
