Whoa, maybe Jamie Kennedy really is "blowin' up." As Kevin Federline was getting booed for his unintentionally hilarious hip-hop songs at the West Hollywood Costume Carnaval and using Britney Spears as a ploy to get people to come to his Playing with Fire release party at the members-only after-hours club Xenii on Tuesday, Kennedy was getting flanked by sexy fans going wild for his intentionally funny hip-hop songs.
Close to 1,500 people including Carl Cox showed up at Cabana Club to see the comedian/actor/rapper and collaborator Stu Stone perform "Rollin' W/ Saget." It was so crowded, Kennedy had to stand on a handrail so everyone could see him and he was so pumped he told the night's promoter Joe Joe, "This is the best party I've ever been to." Even if Spears didn't host Federline's bash, we're pretty sure he couldn't brag about partying with FHM model Brooke Banx and Playboy sensation Michelle Baena all night.

Nightclub people in othercities - Las Vegas, New York, Miami - will tell you there isn't a spot in L.A. that can compete with their top venues. The 21,000-square-foot Vanguard aspires to change that.
People's jaws drop when they walk in the room. This feels like a club in New York, Vegas or Ibiza [Spain], and in reality it's bigger than most clubs in those cities, due to a 'dream team' of promoters organized by Joe Joe Promotions that fill the spot on Saturday nights. Few venues could claim to offer both the vibe of a hot dance club and a swanky lounge, at least on this scale. In fact, the Vanguard's cabana-focused outdoor setting conspires with its indoor dance space to pose as two clubs in one.
On a recent Saturday night, the two worlds are hopping. Dancers fill the spacious cherry-wood dance floor beneath watchful eyes from the VIP balcony. And the Asian-inspired patio, with fountains and a giant Buddhastatue, is thriving.
