JoeKel is one of Hip Hop most anticipated artist to ever breathe on a microphone. Classified as the “Beast from the East,” JoeKel, born Shawn Faison resides in Whiteville, NC-a winter baby explains in it’s self- why he’s destine to shine. With a respectable track record and great quality music, he’s destining to be a fans favorite. With sounds in tuned with some of the games best, JoeKel has been referred to as the Biggie and Rick Ross of “North Cack.” JoeKel always had a passion for music; it wasn’t until 2004 that he decided to rap. “I was always interested in the business side of the music,” JoeKel said. It wasn’t until he was encouraged by his childhood friend Rich Mac (also a music artist and co owner of 130 Entertainment Music Group with JoeKel) to pursue a rap career. JoeKel has done opening performances for Jadakiss, D-Block, Little Brother, Yola and Lil Ru. Also credited to his resume is performances and interviews with Da Music Lounge, a hip hop TV show in Raleigh, NC, interviews at Coast 97.3 in Wilmington, NC community performances for Foxy 99.1 in Fayetteville, NC and Kiss101.9 in Greenville, NC. JoeKel was also requested to represent North Carolina at the Southeastern Music Submit and a three year current streak performing for Picasso to benefit Aids Awareness. Yes, JoeKel been busy staying in the community and networking definitely got the streets behind him. JoeKel blesses the air waves for independent artist and sets the bar high for artist that takes this game lightly. Currently, blazing the streets with a flood of mix tapes selling and promoting over 5000 units, the most commonly asked question is “Why Aren’t You Signed Yet?” JoeKel sits back and say, “That’s All About to Change!” JoeKel recently signed to N.A.M.
