   About Joe Kile
New Orleans-based singer/songwriter Joe Kile offers a style of folk that bears hints of early Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark on the contemporary side, and an air of old-timey on the other. He seamlessly binds the two with his plaintive, honest voice and guitar performance. Understated and dry, Kiles magic is his subtle and poetic beauty, in lyric and imagery. He plays like a lazy day. While its mostly him throughout Kings Avenue, there are subtle additions of strings, bass, keys, accordion and pedal-steel that sneak in almost unnoticed. Sunyatta Marshall adds a delightful backing vocal to the jaunty "Texas Summer Evening" and the two lovely waltzes, "Kansas In June" and "New York".

Thanks, that means a lot coming from you. You have pretty awesome taste in music. We just need to record more songs that we have and make up a few more so we can be a little bit more picky. Any way, thanks.

Hey Baker. I know you may not think that you need it but I have the best scones recipe ever. And a recipe for a flourless almond cake that will knock your socks right off. Some folks say that being a baker is a very romantic existence. I hope you're enjoying it.

Hi Mr. Kile.

I've got one of your lovely little numbers on my page now. Not because I know you, but because I just like it! You sound great! I was up late the other night drinking and your songs filled the room I was in perfectly. I love that feeling.
Thank you!

Hello Mister Joe!

Could we maybe think that this comment was yellow,
Like sunbeams reclining on your peaceful pillow;
or, rather, imagine it was made of ribbons,
that rustle around our feet as we're dance-spinning,
or maybe it might be just feathers fast falling,
through crisp new-moon air; it seems spring time is calling!

In appreciation of seasonal shifts and new e-friendship!

Love + Ruckus,
Jordan.
Theodore
