The Joe K Experience has taken over the local club scene. When they are not playing at the Door or the Aardvark, they can be seen walking around the University of North Texas campus.
Because most of the group graduated from North Crowley High School, they have quite a following. Their unique sound reflects their influences the Rocket Summer and Jason Mraz, to name just a couple. It has a powerful influence that'll have you singing their songs in your head for days.

... I would say, About time you finished your new full-length, Joey! But since recent North Crowley High School grad and University of North Texas student Joe K plays every instrument and really, really well I cant come down on him for taking his own sweet time with recording. Churned out at producer extraordinaire Bart Roses First Street Audio near TCU, Stuck in a Beautiful Cycle is full of punkish, rocking pop tinged with flourishes of piano and grounded by powerful stickwork. What Joe K does exceptionally well (other than play every friggin instrument) is craft the kind of huge, steely hooks that are both economical and melodic. If youre taking bets on next years Music Awards in the Album of the Year category, you cant lose with Beautiful Cycle. Joe Kirkland began writing music on the piano at the age of 12. Soon after, he began to teach himself guitar, and eventually the drums. At the age of 16, Joe took a loan from his dad, and recorded an 11 song, very rough CD in two days. In three years time, he took every opportunity to play live, paid his dad off and went back into the studio again, and began to establish a fan base in Fort Worth. Now 19, he is making a name for himself through his music at the University of North Texas, and has just come out of the studio with his very first, full length album, "Stuck in a Beautiful Cycle." His positive music that sounds like a mix between Jack's Mannequin and The Rocket Summer definitely sets him apart from other bands, besides being a one-man band...
