    .. .. .. Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, he won his first jazz awards at the age of 19, .. use to play clarinet, now playes flute and all saxophones, especially soprano. .. In the past he played with Alexis Korner, Tony Sheridan, .. Jackie Leven and czech legend Marta Kubisova a.o. - but is all that important now? Instead trying to be very typical jazz player in the sence of Berklee School, he just improvise in his own special way. He is also known as a Sensational Saxophone Joe. .. Between 1997 and 2007 he also curated the highly acclaimed annual ’Berlin Jazz Meeting’.
