West Virginia native Joe Landes delivers a fiery performance of fierce bottleneck-style delta blues fused with hints of rural country, bluegrass, and folk music. Ranging from goofy and light-hearted to dark and almost sinister (and everything between), his songs offer a glimpse into his life - he writes of his experiences, emotions, frustrations, and successes.
He’s been twice invited to play in Clarksville, Tennessee for their annual Riverfest and other events, opened for Jim McCarty (guitarist for Bob Seger and Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels) & Mystery Train at the Winchester in Lakewood, and performed at the 2007 Mahoning River Blues Festival in Youngstown. He also presently serves as guitarist for noted Cleveland musician Oliver Buck.
Joe currently resides in Lakewood, Ohio, and is at work on a new CD to be released soon. When not playing music, Joe divides his time between medicating foster kittens, creating culinary disasters in the kitchen, trying to find food and objects stolen by one of his three cats, watching PBS specials, and preparing for the zombie apocalypse.
