Music, trees, cake, guitars, heaths, rugby, football and all thing that bring a smile including kites...
Music
Where do I start. Well, it started with The Bluetones in 1996 and I haven't submitted to pretensions since then. I love new bands, when they haven't a clue why they're doing it, they just have to. But Mario Lanza deserves respect too for his love of food if nothing else...
Movies
Superman II, Some Like it Hot, Once Upon A Time in America and everything else in between. zowie!
Television
Popular Culture is my vice, so I'll have a consonant please.
Books
Confederacy Of Dunces is close to my heart and I'm a Literature graduate darling. Velvet jackets and perfumed bowler hats xxx
Heroes
Oscar Wilde, Johnny Fontaine, Mick Hucknall and my dad.
About me: Well, erm, who am I? What a mad question. The answer to that isn't exactly simple so lets start at the beginning. I was born Joseph John Curran on May 20 1983. My mum was tired, dad was drunk and my sister Hayley was three years old and hasn't shut up since. I now live in London and I'm a journalist. I love lasagne, new bands, music heads and the odd lady here and there too. Will that do for now? Get to know me, make the effort and I'll try not to kick you. And with a touch of affection I bid you a smile x

Please enjoy our new Video for our single 'Nature of This Town' wich was released last monday (on Butterfly Recordings). We filmed it where we live in South East London, Mundania Court, Peckham Rye, One Tree Hill and Gipsy Hill. Spot our pretty little Miss Brian Ferret's camio. Thanks to Andy Hankdog for letting us borrow his house with living room swings, and to our favourite chippy fisherman at the Dolphin Fish Bar. And shame on the Manhatten Loft Corporation who are turning our beautiful Honor Oak Baptist Church into flats. nice one.

howdy, here's what's coming up in the next month folks..
got the redbricks festival of folk on this sunday, 21st, at the amersham arms in new cross. the line up's changed a little as findlay brown has broke his leg, but i think the likes of pete molinari, the superimposers, john stammers, emma tricca, pete greenwood, luca and ain make for a pretty great FREE day out. starts abround 4, i heard a rumour about half price roasts too but don't quote me on it...
got this lot on for ya too..
the big bertha gig on the boat is a fiver but gimma shout if you want to get on the £3 guestlist.
cheers, the redbricks.. x
hey gang,
got our open mic for friends of the redbricks again this sunday in the gladstone.. it's free in and emma tricca will be playing for sure..
also, the sad news is that the proud galleries is closing in september so this is your last chance to enjoy the redbricks in their glorious surroundings. it's relocating to somewhere new in camden in november so we'll be carrying on from then.. meanwhile i've lined up a boat on the thames to replace the dates in september and october..
send us a message if you wanna get on the guestlist for our post greenman special on august 21st..
the good ship sails on..
