Joel Ferguson is one of the most talented singer/songwriter/producers to arise from Michigan. As singer/songwriter/front man for RCA Records' Papa Vegas, he charted twice in 1999 on Billboards Modern Rock category with his songs “Bombshell” (Top 20) and “Something Wrong” (Top 30). Papa Vegas' LP “Hello Vertigo” was produced by Don Gilmore and mixed by Tom LordAlge. After Papa Vegas, Ferguson formed Miles to Mars who released an EP, "Sovereign" that was written, recorded, engineered, and produced by Ferguson. In 2004 Ferguson began working with Wind-Up Recording Artist Bob Guiney. His new album will include many songs written by Joel and is due to release in early fall 2008. Since 2001 he has also been the bass player for the platinum selling group The Verve Pipe.
With his reputation as a prolific songwriter and admired local musician, Ferguson has begun producing local acts in his studio, helping them hone the craft of songwriting and recording.

Thanks for hitting up the show, was super fun, and although stressful, was a relief to just get one out of the way. Scott and Shanee and I will be putting a half dozen newbies under the microscope, then we're gonna need you to maybe swing out to a practice and we'll unveil and make some plans. It's gonna be planet rock.
Much much much writing has been occuring. Many new songs. Some of them better than others :) If you can make it out to the Jukes show on May 16th, we'll be playing at least one of the new songs... We'll be playing several of them by the show with you in June. But yes, plans need to be made. And there's some really pretty weird songs that Sha-na and I have been doing by ourselves acoustically that need furthere Bobby development that only you can provide. They are quite tops sounding already though...so sky is the limit I guess!
