From the Mid-West plains of Indiana, singer/songwriter Joel Gragg writes with the lyrical depth of an old soul. His sonically complex guitar stylings and production work borrow from both the past and mordern eras of folk, rock and blues to combine for a unique potency all his own
Although Joel began writing songs early on, his musical direction began to take shape while in college playing in bars and coffee houses across the mid-west. Going to school for audio production soon led Joel moving to Nashville TN, where he worked over the course of four years as an independent engineer/producer and touring guitarist.
In 2006 he left the Music City with his wife Beth (who co-wrote Lack of Love) to move back to Indiana and work for a respected pro audio company. It was then he realized what truly drove him to create and record music was to follow his own voice and use his songs to connect with people on issues we all face today both personally and globally. This mission is self evident in his 2008 independent release "When the Dust Settles". With an ever-expanding catalog of new Rock, Blues, Folk and Alt-County classics, Gragg is well on his way to becoming one of the leading songwriters of his generation.
This album is beautiful! It incorporates everything that I enjoy in music, melody, a nice rockin beat, and heart felt lyrics... You have definitely outdone yourself! As soon as I can afford it, I promise I'll buy it! Gotta save for grad school!
