"Without a Home" has come on very nicely in deed, Joel. A lot more power in it.

Haven't been in for a listen for a long while--work, life, issues...!

"We" in Chicago, with the largest urban populationof Poles outside of Warsaw Poland, know a good Polka when we hear one.

"Coney Island Polka" is indeed a Great one!!

Thanks, Joel, for accepting my request and for sending me a message.

I really enjoyed your magical and compelling tunes, "Ballerina Beautiful" and "Without a Home". The ambience, textures and chord progressions affected me, not only on a musical level, but a visceral one as well. Best wishes on your future endeavors!

Respectfully Yours,

John

Hi Joel;
I haven't stopped by in a while... but I just listened to "Little Boys Deepest Needs" I sat back in my chair and this is what I heard..
1st the boy is running chasing a butter fly, he runs and runs until he give up and sits on a big rock exhausted, and then the butterfly lands on his shoe!!
2nd he walks to the pond and for the first time tries to skip a rock on the water after several tries he remember his father telling him to try and find a rock that was thin and some what flat, so he tries again, still no skipping across the water :( then again he remembers something his father told him about how to hold the rock curled up in your finger.... IT WORKS he skips rocks for a solid hour.
3rd so excited to tell he father of his day he runs all the way home, thinking it was about time for him to be home from work, only to find out it was 3:00 and he would not be home until 5:30 the little boy was so exhausted he falls asleep in the couch.
4th it is his father who wakes him up and he gets to tell him all about is WONDERful day. A day of fun, a day where you have something to tell your father that you know will make him proud, and a day that lands you in the tender loving and protective arms of your Dad...to a Perfect ending.
**************
Thank YOU for the peaceful journey Joel, it is Beautifully written.

Hi Joel...

Been busier than I would've liked so I just now was able to stop by and "check in".

"Little Bous deepest needs" somehow reminded me of my brother (when we were both little). Very beautiful....are there/will there be words?

I just listened to "Wide Awake on Christmas Eve" and I was really impressed. It captures perfectly the spirit of Christmas, in fact as I listened it brought me back to early morning times on Christmas when I'd wake up super early as a kid. It would still be dark and I'd wait eagerly for my parents to get up. Talk about nostalgia!

I also love the way you ended it. That ending has something of a jazz flavor to it. Beautiful.

Thanks for blessing the world with such a wonderful gift.
