Anything musical will pique my interest, as will all forms of literary or cerebral entertainment.

I'll listen to anything with a melody, from Mozart, Wagner and Chopin, through to Pearl Jam, Queen, Three Days Grace and Jellyfish. I'm particularly fond of the piano greats - Billy Joel, Jerry Lee Lewis and Ben Folds would be three particularly shining examples of musicians with that accolade.
Movies
If you can get me to sit down for two hours straight and watch a film without falling asleep or getting up and doing something else, I'll buy you a beer.
Television
I haven't owned a television in years - watching television is like putting your brain on autopilot. If I wanted mental chewing gum, I'd read a Dan Brown novel.

I'm Joel. I'm short, sardonic, sarcastic and I spend the majority of my life behind a piano. I'm a professional musician - which means I actually earn a living by composing and playing music - I do not live in my mother's basement and I do not work in a pub. Though I do primarily consider myself a songwriter, I'll be honest and say that I make the majority of my income through composition and arranging. I just finished scoring a British film called "A Dying Breed", which you'll all be able to see next year.
I hate people who can't spell, punctuate, or who restrict their vocabulary to pre-teen levels. I value intelligence and honesty above most anything else, and despise the witless anachronisms of the puerile mind.

Hey Joel! Long time no talk!! Thanks again for the birthday wishes back in February. Wish I could have gotten around to telling you that MUCH sooner. Then again, I ended up moving quite a bit ways away from where I last was, and needed to make sure I was getting a paycheck and all that.
