Last summer I broke my wrist a week after my ex broke up with me. This accident prevented me from going on an 850-mile bicycle tour I'd spent several months training for. That week I bought a $15 two-octave keyboard at a pawn shop and started writing songs. The result is the Broken Wrist EP, a nine-song collection of dark experimental electronic pop music. The songs are super dark. I was pretty depressed, and got myself into the habit of going to bed at 4 AM and waking up at 2 PM every day. This record is quite a departure from my other stuff, but I hope you like it. It'll be available to download soon, complete with a 30-page color .pdf of artwork I made. I'll also be pressing a limited run of 50 physical copies thru Silent Home Records to sell on tour and at home this winter. Lemme know if you'd like one.

what folks are saying:
"Both the music and lyrics are refreshing. When listening, I feel like I have been allowed in on a secret. Throughout [Tunes for Bears to Dance to] you are willing to share so much of yourself with your audience and you do it so convincingly that I quickly forget that I am listening to a CD. Instead I feel like I am talking with you or, at least, listening to you talk, share. Some of the vocals in particular are so bare but beautiful, really intoxicating; the style in which you did the recording is perfect for the material." - Bryan Bowser, Director of Baldwin-Wallace College's Arts Management Program
"I just wanted to say that your music is amazing. I love the rawness, and honesty behind it. It's rare I come across an acoustic act or independent act these days that makes me really sit back and know I've gotta raise the bar higher. Always looking for musicians such as yourself." - Tristan Nugent, of Killing Independent George

Hi joe! How are you today? Well, we're working on the pre-order packages for the new cd, new t-shirts designs, new songs... It's exciting but exhausting too. lol How about you? Steph.
Im really glad you enjoyed it! That makes my day. Dont be a stranger now. Keep in touch. And dont forget that my record "It All Starts Here" is on itunes, amazon mp3, rhapsody, emusic, napster, etc. Also, it would be awesome if you follow me on Twitter www.twitter.com/JGluckmusic. Thanks again!
well i sort of cheated... lol i had my acoustic in my lap when i was listening. plus it kind of stands out because i think a lot of the rest of your songs are capo'd, right?
but yeah i think you've usually got a lot of blues in your lyrics then its paired with a major key and a bit of sporadic-ness and it makes the Joel Murray music cocktail we know and love today. =]
Haha that's such a cute story. Yeah i've heard of ohio and cleveland but dunno anything about them. Wow no stop lights, that's crazily weird! haha. but awesome. 72 kids as well, that's insane! Yeah the city is pretty good in making you feel like a part of something but at the same time feel like nothing with so many people around. well for me anyway. haha nice to know your buddy from england is your best friend :P Do you get to see him much? Wow i'd love to go to a film festival one day. America has so many cool things!!!!! i have no idea who brendan gleeson & diablo cody are but if they're famous then cooool. You have a nice day/night mr, whatever time it is there.
i was the 4th one to listen to your new tune there, TV Dinners.
im sure i was also the 4th one to love it lol.
i liked the different key it was in, a switch from the usual sarcastically major key songs i hear from you...did you tune to D standard or something like that? C?
