At the age of 27, Joel Scott Davis has already made a name for himself as a composer, songwriter, and performer. His compositions have been widely performed and recorded at such esteemed venues as Carnegie Hall, and critics have praised his music for its "honest beauty, sincerity, and musical imagination." As a Doctorate of Musical Arts student at Claremont Graduate University, he is currently studying composition with Grammy-nominated composer Peter Boyer. While in undergrad, I actually got to work and do a concert with Eric Whitacre. Our director loved him. While my stuff doesn't "sound" like his (ha!), I would like to say I've been influenced by him.

Things are well. Opera is over. It was a really good show but I'm glad its finished. Just finishing my first semester of Masters so... Yeah well we are back to wearing at least short sleeves. The weather is crazy here too. Keep in touch brother.
