About me:
I'm on the do what you want and die happy plan. Life is too short to do just one thing, and I'm going wherever it takes me and trying out all that I can along the way.
I'm a laid-back jeans and t-shirt sort of guy. I’ll dress up for something like the theatre or the renaissance festival, but a shirt and tie are not my natural habitat. I’m a Redskins and Broncos fan, and don’t particularly care that sports exist outside of football. I cook a mean stir-fry and chili, and I love spicy food.
I have a cynical/sarcastic sense of humor. The glass is either half empty, or too small, depending on the day. If you thought the Ref with Dennis Leary was hysterical, you'd get my sense of humor.
I enjoy a good sci-fi or fantasy yarn. I’m also a fan of Shakespeare, and any story that makes me think.
I spend a lot of time outdoors. When I'm not doing something outside, I write -- mostly fiction, but I have been known to pen a poem or two and write the occasional essay. I'm a freelance author for a science fiction gaming company, and have a few short works of fiction in print.
I'm fond of the sci-fi and fantasy genres, but most of my work tends to be along the lines of magical realism. Very real and tangible places with a hint of the supernatural. Think Twilight Zone, for example.
