Cool, everyday people who care about the planet/environment/each other, want to stop these nasty wars.....Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Grateful Dead, Bob Marley, Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Allman Brothers, Cream, Traffic, Motown and Soul, Frank Zappa, Stevie Ray Vaughn, David Bowie, Yes, King Crimson, John McLaughlin, Doors, CSN-Y, Buffalo Springfield, The Band, John Prine, Jack Johnson, G-Love and Special Sauce, Michael Franti, Keller Williams, Ben Harper, (Old) Genesis, Syd Barret, Led Zeppelin, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Warren Haynes, B.B. King, Woody Guthrie, "Ramblin" Jack Elliot, Burning Spear, Culture, George Clinton/P-Funk, Santana,
I have been playing guitar since 1977, I mainly consider myself a lead guitarist with decent vocals, as well as a songwriter and musical creator too. I grew up learning guitar in the "guitar monster era". Jimi Hendrix, Jerry Garcia, David Gilmore, Frank Zappa, John McLaughlin, Robert Fripp, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray, etc. I've absorbed so much of that, (and dig it too), that some elements, either musical, or just inspirational, are a part of my sound and approach. I would say the psychedelic, bluesy, rhythmic soul-funk, musically inventive, direction is the main way I'm headed with my music. Right now, I'm playing out solo with an acoustic, and a looper, to layer the jams. I'm always looking to expand on what I'm doing and reach that next level. You can also hear some folk, modern rock, and experimental sound pieces in my music too.
