With the interface it's definitely not buffer size, it's a hardware problem, it makes the clicking noise when the computer's not even on, but like if I turn my ADA8000 off it stops, but it's not because of the ADA8000 cause I've taken it out of the loop and it still does it?

Yeah that would be awesome, I'll email you the clip of it we have, see if you can diagnose a problem that way :)

    Thanks a lot :)

Haha thanks! Yeah a couple are Pete's that he's bought recently, including an old MD421 which he got for like £150 from Greece which would be lush, but it doesn't work :/
Plus the outputs of my interface have gone all wierd, making clicking noises so I have to have my monitors out the headphone outs, haha would you know how to get these things fixed?

Ah Joe - you'll have to speak to Steve about that - he's in charge of the fire - I'm sure there'll be some sort of veggie option - I'll bring you something from home if not!! Can't have you going hungry now can we!! hehe

Ah right, I'm gonna be using an SM58 (probably with the front bit taken off so it's effectively a 57) and a Rode NT1A.
I've not done a proper distorted guitar before (except when i was at college) and i'm recording a metal band in a few weeks so i need to figure out how to get a nice thick crunchy sound :/

Alright mate, i made a few changes and uploaded a few ones. I ended up taking a tiny bit off 1k on the master to even her voice out a bit.

Thanks a lot for the advice, i'll be recording a few more people at the end of the month (once i've got passed these friggin exams) so i'll keep it all in mind. I'm still working on the reverbs cause at college we didn't use auxiliary tracks or busses, just added an effect to the track in Cubase studio 4.

By the way, i absolutely love the production on that Bigtopp track, the vocals are so clear! Also, i was wondering, what microphone do you usually use to mic up guitar cabs?
