"Don't say it can't be done, our work is just begun . .. take it from Dr. King and learn to sing and drop the gun." -Pete Seeger
It didn't take an expensive image consultant to come up with the name, Joe Mejer (pron. "major"). That's his real name. Besides, who would need to worry about "image" when they create music that's already fashionable in itself? Donning a motley of musical influences from Arlo Guthrie to Outkast, Joe Mejer's music fuses the fun with the madness, the anxiety with the despair, and the revolution with the guitar. Learning how to play the guitar at age 16 boosted Mejer's interest in soundscapes. Over the next few years, having mastered the congas, maracas, and bongos, he'd find himself doubly enmeshed in South Bend, Indiana's burgeoning, local-music scene by playing in both a church worship band and a “jazz/funk fusion" jam band, Different Folk. Mejer then relocated to Durham, North Carolina. Only a few years later, and with the addition of electronic drums and synthesizing, he carved out his first solo LP, Experimentation. The title, Experimentation, may come off as a disclaimer, but Mejer's guitar-plucking instrumentals, accompanied by a lustful penchant for futuristic folklore, speak for themselves. Without sounding too distant, Mejer finds a way to hide inside of his songs, blending in when necessary, but peaking out when he wants you to find him or to feel what he's saying. Currently, while working with other musicians, he’s working on a solo EP more grounded in live instrumentation.

Hi and thx for the add/request! Merci!!! Don't hesitate to drop a word on our myspace if you've liked what you heard. Hope to read you soon Greets Arno_Bcs
Many thanks for the add. Hope you enjoy the music and message behind it. My mission in life is to fight Human trafficking...understanding the individual pain of others is sometimes to painful for an other individual to touch and that is frightening ... what i mean is that someone whose life is not traumatized and brutalized as a regular sequence of every day events unconsciously seeks the camouflage and shelter of apathy and banality from the reality of such devastating anguish and terror ...but the spirit of young people who are used as sex slaves in the systematized global industry of human trafficking is now reaching out to the human fellowship in hope and desperation and through technology ...
it is scary when humanity turns a blind eye to this horror ...its like ignoring genocide whilst it is happening ...
what i am asking is that if you hear the cry of these young people who are existing in an environment of torture and brutality each and every day that you then please do not turn away from them ...
please reach deeply into your heart and soul and join a movement that challenges modern slavery in the 21st century ...
