"Joe Metzka and Friends" performs blues, standards and originals.
"Joe Metzka Trio" performs classic standards in the "King Cole Trio" format.
I sing and play guitar in both groups and stay active in both scenes. We've recorded 4 CDs on "Moeche" records. The newest cd is "Some Kinda Blue."
Over the years, I've gotten to play with quite an eclectic group of musicians, including: Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, The Ohio Players, 3 Dog Night, the Shirelles, Little Anthony and The Imperials, Matt Wilson, Tim Hagans and many others.
I was also an NCAA football all-American for 3 seasons and pursued NFL workouts and arena ball for a few years before settling into a career in music.

Hi Joe! Long time no see! We've been MySpace friends for a awhile, but I just thought I'd say hi. I hope all is well with you...I like your songs. As you can see from my page, I'm still playing, though admittedly my guitar skills have kind of plateaued...but I get by. Talk to you later!
Hey jojo you where great the other evening with erin keep up the great work and keep your eye on the future and dont worry abiut today great things r coming your way!
Joe, you rock man. Sometimes when I need a good chill vibe I click over here and just let your tunes roll. Reminds me of my 21st Birthday, back in the day. And I will add that before he got a career in music, I was personal security and kept him from getting killed by Athletci-ZIM. And how did you not get it four years? Anyway, brother, rock on out. When I get to your state I may drop in on you in Peoria. Take care chief. Much love.
