FINALLY MADE IT INTO THE ILLUSTROUS WORLD OF MYSPACE!! deejaying SOUL at clubs/allnighters locally
and internationally since
more than 15 years. originally coming from the subcultural surrounding of Mod/Crophead/Scooterism I
developed a love for rare
black music, starting with Jamaican sounds leading to all forms of quality Soul music with a strong
liking for those small &
rare Soul 45s... am a big fan of 6Ts & Northern Soul but am not stuck into it, also play
contemporary grooves if the
programmation of the night asks for that. I have carried my deejay boxes into most cool sophisto
clubs here in Vienna and
played to crowds at many Soul/Mod and related events all over Europe always working hard on my
mission to fill the
dancefloor. experienced club & bar deejay with residencies at various places (7 years u4 resident,
b72, wirr, ra'mien)
and organizer of events & live gigs. also did a lot of deejaying for big companies and agencies.
running Soul allnighters
since mid-90s, one of the longest going ones was Canterbury Soul Cub with my friend Flappo, another
very memorable one was
Magic Touch allnighter. did gigs with acts like 100 Men & Durango 95 (first ever self-promoted gig
in '93), Sugarman
Three, Montefiori Cocktail, The Jaybirds, The 05 to name a few, highlight was propably the show with
original 6Ts Soulbrother
Sidney Barnes for whom we put together a band and even recorded some new Northern Soul tunes. also
doing aftershow deejaying
for live acts, current acts included James Brown, Paul Weller, JTQ, Terry Callier, Sharon Jones,
original Motown Funkbrother
Nick Ashford, Me'shell N'degeocello & more. love to work with Soul singers performing Soul Club
classics to old

are first of all Sound of
Soul all-nighter together with the Vienna Soul Mafia, a rare Soul event with international guests
(Butch, Guy Hennigan, Terry
Jones, Ralph Tee, Andy Dyson, Ady Croasdell, Tim Brown, Jo Wallace, Dave Flynn, Eddie Piller, Benji
Schlamp, Wolfgang
Dirrigl, Mark Forrest, Frank Popp, Edu Domingo, Laurent Reus, Lars Bulnheim, Stefano Oggiano to name
a few) & live
performances. I started with SoS about 7 years ago with my friend Burn Hard who moved to Sydney last
year (still doing the
cool flyer design) after many years of running other Soul clubs and its always a delight to see the
packed dancefloor there.
other regular monthly gigs include Tighten Up goes SoulShui at Ramien Bar, a nice Hong Kong 1970s
style bar with dancefloor,
Tighten Up at the historical Otto Wagner Pavillon, both are free admission and Get Smarter 6Ts
Happening which is the
re-activation of the classic 6Ts Mod thing. RawFunk is a night dedicated to Rare Funk, at the moment
we are looking for a
suitable location for this event. in the past we also did Reggae/Ska nights and a clubnight
dedicated to Modern Soul is in
