Hi Joe (and hallo to all your family). We are Topix, we are at the meeting with you at Fnac, in Torino, Italy. Did you like our city? And...the chocolate...and Godzilla song? We hope to meet you again.
Hey Joe..I was finally able to find time to sit down and read VANILLA RIDE. I am one of those weirdos who LOVE Hap and Leonard!! (but please don't tell anyone..it will ruin my wholesome reputation!) Please tell me that this is not the last we will see of Vanilla!
Hi Joe. We are looking forward to meet you in our city (as you are coming to Torino, Italy, on the 14th). Do you like chocolate? We are very happy, Topix (Stefano and Barbara)

“While some may find scholar S.T. Joshi's claim in his introduction that Pulver “can take his place with that of the masters of our genre” (including Poe and Lovecraft) a trifle hyperbolic, all will agree that Pulver is a writer to watch. (Dec.)” – Publisher’s Weekly
“Whatever your expectations may be, check them at the door. Pulver has a truly unique style for the horror genre, and this collection of short stories is a perfect vehicle for this sort of style . . . Pulver is an original.” - Rick Kleffel’s The Agony Column

I just finished re-reading the Drive-in Trilogy, and I wasn't sure if there would be a place for a fourth book but I hope there will be... My biggest concern was what happened to Bob? He was a lead character in the first two and wasn't even mentioned at all in part 3. Not even, "He got scurvy and died," or something in passing. Even Grace and Steve came back, and there was a good pecker joke or two about Crier. What about Bob? Maybe there could be a fourth book to bridge the gap between parts 2 and 3, something with Bob explaining why he wasn't around.
Hey Joe...I just wanted to pop in and say "You're the coolest of the cool." Thanks for letting me know about all the good Joe Lansdale sites in East Texas. Is there a statue of you there in Nagadoches? Heh Heh...I'll definitely check the place out next summer when I'm on tour. If you have connections at the library (I bet you do!) please put in a word about this great children's musician they should hire for their summer reading program.....
Luke Lukas is back with an album full of that gleeful gloom that made us love him at first sight. His trustworthy 4-tracks and him go their separate ways so he's now presenting 12 perfectly arranged folk songs to us. Luke reveals himself as a kind soul, but like the western movies taught us, a dreadful killer always hides under every placid looking Texan.
"Leaving his strongly lo-fi sound that impressed us the first time, he treasures the recipe, packing in this new plain, delightful work a caring love for vocals, which are worthy of Neutral Milk hotel, with a touch of Chordettes feel."Daniele Dileo - Lab Magazine
"Some writers one admirers and others make one want to do as they do, or try. For me, Joe Pulver is of the latter type. His imagination is so vile so much of the time that it makes me giggle with amazement. And the prose so deadly visionary. I'm grateful that the pieces in this collection are those of a fellow horror writer who has raised the ante on what it means to be such a creature." - Thomas Ligotti
just re-read your intro to robert e. howard's "people of the dark"...another happenin' texan...
