Bio
Joe & Daniel are both members of the band Old 86 (myspace.com/86music), and both have played locally for several years. One day, the two decided to record an album in their spare time, comprised of material that they had accumulated but never gotten a chance to play. Containing mostly instrumental songs, Joe MacPhail & Daniel Fields' debut album was recorded almost entirely through email, with Joe recording some parts and sending them to Daniel, who would add to them and send them back, etc etc. A few of the songs were recorded with two microphones, live in Joe's basement, and two of these songs, "Baby Please Don't Go" and "Voodoo Butter" were entirely improvised on the spot. .. .. We hope you enjoy what we've done, and feel free to drop us a line with comments, questions, or criticism. You can also catch both of us in person by checking out one of Old 86's live shows in the Triangle area. .. .. .. .. The tracklisting for our first album is as follows: .. .. Hydrogen Jukebox .. Just One Night .. Tayo .. Easy Does It .. Mo' Groove .. Somebody's Nite Crash .. Bounce .. Springtime .. Funkalicious .. Prodigal Son .. Synth Fonk .. Baby Please Don't Go .. Voodoo Butter -
