Joe Talia is a drummer/sound artist from Melbourne, Australia.
Debut solo album in/exterior now available.
A dark, haunting and disturbing mix of gongs, bowed cymbals, washing machines, feedback, springs, noise and theramins. Like a film shot with sound, Talia's musique concrete crystallises into alien landscapes, filtered through the hiss of static. Not recommended for those on the verge of psychotic breakdown, or anyone trapped in a spaceship.

hi joe, i am a 1st year guitarist at VCA, striaght out of school and i really like your experimentation with sound and just generally your playing (saw you at wangaratta with the messian project, murphy's law, also with ned collette and various other things). I also do a lot of stuff experimenting with my effects and loop station on guitar, more on the experimental side of things.... i don't know a lot about all the computer stuff but i want to check it out a little, if you could give me a few tips maybe on some gear worth getting and stuff. haven't bought a laptop yet but have been saving up for one so... i'm also friends with sam price i think you know him... anyway, maybe if you could give me some advice or even if there was an opportunity to come do some work experience or something at your studio or something? i dunno, but i''ll probably come to your make it up club gig so yeh, really liking the tunes. cheers, Will
