HEY, I'm Still Alive on November 30, 11 days after the whacky attorney threatened to kill me in court on November 19! You can't keep a good man down, and the loony Medford attorney has two more dates in court to discuss his wrongful conduct. Don't take these threats lightly, I'm not the only one those thugs are going after. The Mayor's appointee to the board of TV 3 found her car vandalized and a husband and wife found their tires slashed and their home vandalized. This is a First Amendment battle in Medford, Massachusetts and the thugs are turning it very ugly. If you don't see me looking at the MySpace, it could mean they made good on their threats!
Or it could mean that we've all moved into Dick Cheney's abandoned bunker. Stay tuned.

Well, on Thanksgiving day our 2,253rd MySpace friend /"LONG LIVE SOUND FROM TODOUNO"---special children/mental health music & art movement from Argentina/joined this little ever-growing group. We have a lot to be thankful for...like the fact that we're still breathing. Eight days ago the whackee attorney from Medford that we've all been viewing on YouTube got tired of losing to me in court so he threatened to kill me in front of the 1st Assistant Clerk. If Jo Jo were only alive to videotape...here are his exact words "I'm going to kill you with my bare hands...my three sons want to strangle him" (not very good English, but then again, after 40 years in practice, he's obviously not a very good attorney). "I'm going to beat the s**t out of you. You'd better get a bodyguard. Indignation." The only thing the community should be indignant about is that the curmudgeon has disrupted the lives of a 9 year old boy, a ten year old girl, and an 85 year old man who was a close friend of mine. When he came after me he ran into a brick wall because truth wins out over stupidity. So eight days after the assault I am still breathing and will keep y'all posted here on MySpace. Check out the clip of whacko jacko attorney getting thrown out of City Hall on October 29th and watch his finger go up in the air in threatening fashion. He's a real piece of work. Happy Thanksgiving...that turkey hasn't killed me yet and that, my friends, just drives him even more bonkers!

THE DARK KNIGHT was first in release:
What am I doing up at 1:16 AM. I am exhausted...the Red Sox need to come out and crush all the competition...so the DARK KNIGHT was really tremendous - a great piece of movie making. All the actors were excellent. I do have some criticisms of the film - Director Nolan should have made the Dark Knight a darker version of Adam West instead of just throwing in the conflict because it was part of the stew. The action - and Heath Ledger - all superb. What a pity about Ledger. Anyone who can play the tall fellow in Brokeback Mountain and the small Joker with two distinctly different voices (both distinctly different from his regular "real-life" voice)...wow. Tremendously gifted actor.
Excellent motion picture. Must go see it again tomorrow.

I have a SAMSUNG DVD/VHS player that won't play all DVDs...so I get a SONY DVD player and put that atop the SAMSUNG and wire them together...but when you play a disc in the SONY the SAMSUNG shuts off after
59 minutes? ??? and you (or I, to be more specific) have to re-start it.
So....I'm reviewing a Rolling Stones DVD for AMG - Under Review 1967-1969, part of a trilogy of DVDs from Chrome Dreams (the other two being
Rolling Stones Under Review 62-66 and Keith Richards under review - you can see my reviews of those two on Allmusic.com right now) ...and just as the DVD is talking about the Stones dropping Brian Jones the machine shuts off and the Sci Fi Channel movie BLACK HOLE (2006 with Judd Nelson) said something about dropping a bomb without skipping a beat...as the Stones DVD stopped the Sci Fi movie appeared on the TV screen...

We lost our little "Duffy" two years ago today, July 7, 05.
I wrote a song for him "This Is A Song For Someone I Love" and was playing it on the phone for Bobby Hebb, so Duffy got to hear it one more time. This was around 5 in the afternoon. By 8:30 Duffy had a seizure and by 10:30 PM I was on the phone with Buzzy at the Hospital when the doctor said it was time. Very difficult night two years ago.

Apologies for not updating this page; lots going on, i've got a ton of writing to do and we're doing yet another tv show tomorrow....hey, where is Amo Gulinello performing next? How come there is only one movie title for him on the AllMovie.com guide?
Well, I gotta get the mail out, go to the Kirkland, go to the gym...hmmmm...that routine will be changing right quick when The Kirkland is gone on May 28...new changes....time to change gyms, change nightclubs, change lovers.
May 5th we said good-bye to our Jo Jo. I sometimes visit the place after going to WMWM Salem. She is resting there so I just take a right off the road and go by the spot. It is still hard to believe my close friend of 22 years is gone...
Hey, it's spring! It's May 3! There was a BIG party last night at the Kowloon for Jo Jo Laine's uncle Ira Kaye.
It was fantastic. Al Vega Trio performed (I think there was four of them, though, a four piece trio) and Heidi-Jo Hines played two songs. Lots of fun. Heidi - did you notice how Laine's friend bolted from my space! after my chat at dinner? Do you think it was something I said? I said that he looked like a cross between Don K and Joe M. Of course these days they look hideous but in their younger days they weren't bad looking, what was HIS problem? HA !
Scared little bunny rabbits...oh well...
Thanks to Joel Simches of WMFO 91.5 for playing three of my songs...found it on a MYSPACE playlist. Pretty cool.
Tonight, Monday, February 12, 2007, I interviewed Steve Dexter, author of REAL ESTATE DEBT CAN MAKE YOU RICH, after the 60 minute interview the author wrote in my copy of the book: "To Joe - The Best Interviewer I Know" - Feb 12, 2007.
Played at The Kirkland on January 5th with Boston Lonely, performing "Roadhouse Blues" (The Doors) tune, and earlier in the night teaching a Berklee band "Sister Ray".
Hey, I'm doing my usual once a year gig on January 5.
Well, maybe I'll play out more in 2007, maybe I won't.
Haven't been onstage since performing "There's Nothing Like A Hit" with Fox Pass in July of 2006.

I spent this Memorial Day weekend watching the original Xmen 1 and XMen 2 on FOX, going to see XMEN twice and watching my VHS of XMen 1 again last night! Hey, the Cinema gives you a free movie with every sixth visit, so I used the free coupon (saved 9.25, cheapskate that I am) and thoroughly enjoyed the flick second time around. If you've read my various reviews of Jimi's music on
Allmusic.com you'll know of my admiration for his work.
So tonight as Buzzy Linhart and I were working on our Hendrix book - polishing up the first chapter - zap - a ton of information evaporated into cyberspace. It really is upsetting - as Buzzy said - the material was "hot". Must be the revenge of Monika Danneman as I took her to task in the opening chapter. C'est la vie. Spent another hour fixing it up and it is sitting pretty again. Last year we allowed a Boston area publication to utilize a two part story from this forthcoming book.
FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW:
Buzzy played on "Drifting" from the albums "The Cry Of Love", "Voodoo Soup" and "First Rays of The New Rising Sun".
